All Wrapped Up // Poncho's

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. We had such a wonderful weekend just taking in the "warmer" weather we have been having. Our little town takes Christmas very serious and it legit looks like magic! The entire downtown area is lit with the most gorgeous lights so we went took a walk around, had our picture taken with Santa, horse and carriage ride, and a stroll through the art museum. It really got me in the Christmas spirit even though I have been since November 1st! Ha!

Since it wasn't too cold out, I decided to just wear one my favorite long sleeve tee's, that you see me wearing a lot this season, paired with my new favorite poncho. Oversized knits have been having a huge fashion moment late and I have to say I am little late to the game when it comes to ponchos. I honestly only owned one prior to a couple months ago and now I am hooked! HA! If you haven't tried this trend yet, I think you are definitely missing out! Nothing like wearing a sweater that feels like you are wrapped in a blanket.

Poncho's look great on every body type if styled correctly. Usually I wear leggings with mine because let's be honest, anytime I can get away with wearing leggings I am all for it. I also switch it up and will wear a pair of skinny jeans or jeggings. Those are the options that look the best since you are already hiding that fabulous figure of yours. Wearing leggings or skinny jeans will balance this out and not make you look frumpy.

Happy {almost} Thanksgiving! I am SO excited for tomorrow that I can hardly stand it. Style Guide // Thanksgiving

Friday is fri-nally here! Did you get that?! HA! This means we are even closer to Thanksgiving, which I am SO excited for! Even though Christmas is my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving comes close because of the food! I LOVE all the food and wish I could eat it everyday and not be on "my 600 pound life." What's even more fun about Thanksgiving is finding the perfect Thanksgiving outfit. You know what I'm talking about! Before having three kiddos, I loved getting all dolled up for holidays. Now I am just all about that comfort! BIG NEWS!!! / How to use Like to Know it

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend?! Mine was very relaxing. Hallmark channel was on the tv all weekend and I'm not ashamed one bit! Last Friday I received VERY EXCITING news! I was accepted into the Reward Style program! This was one of my goals when I started my blog and I am happy to say I have achieved it. Erno Laszlo Glow// Update

Hi friends! I am back for Monday Makeover! Yay! So, first how was your weekend? Mine was SUPER busy but productive. I actually picked up a new hobby that I will be sharing very soon so be on the lookout for that. I know it is has been awhile since I did a Monday Makeover post and I apologize. I am going to be more productive on these posts, maybe not every week but at least twice a month. I may post more just depends on if I find a new product I am loving and I feel that I need to share.

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about Erno Laszlo's glow mask that I received in my "blogger mail" as I like to call it. In the post I gave you the deets on the products and how to use. I barely went into how I was liking it and well let me tell you I. LOVE. IT! It is the BEST exfoliant I have ever used and I have used a lot in my life. What I love most about this product is the longevity of it. 24 hours later and my face still feels smooth as a baby's bottom.

If you suffer from dry skin like me, especially during the winter months, this needs to be your go to exfoliant. Don't have dry skin? That's ok, this product can be used by any skin type! Yes, it may be a little pricey but I am telling you your skin will be glowing like J.Lo's! I use twice a week and it looks like I have barely used any. A little goes a long way with this product. Oh, and did I tell you it smells like oranges and is a good exfoliant for your lips! Yes! I use it on my lips as well.

If there is one beauty product you are wanting to splurge on let it be this. You have to start with healthy skin before moving on to makeup. The most expensive makeup can't make your face look fresh if you don't have healthy skin. You can find the skin routine here.

Style Guide // What to Wear for Family Photos

Hi friends! Long time no hearing from me, huh? I know I have been so MIA lately and I apologize. Like I said in my last blog post, I am really trying to find my niche in this blogging world and dang it's hard! Also, my mom visited this past weekend and I was focused on getting as much time with her as I could since she lives 8 hours away and I don't see her as much as I would like.

While my mom was visiting I thought it would be a great opportunity to visit the lake and snap a few family photos. It was very short notice so I didn't have much time to prepare for outfits, but I made it work. When it comes to family photos, I like to keep it very simple and not look so matchy-matchy if that makes sense. You want the picture to focus on the people in the photos and the moment, not what they are wearing. I went with blacks, grays, and reds for the colors because I knew my husband had a gray sweater he could wear and of course I had something to throw together because my closet is overflowing, literally.

Since I haven't had much time to shop for fall/winter clothes for the boys, I knew I had to get them tops to wear. Guess wear I found the cutest black and gray thermal tops for my two oldest? Walmart! I knew I didn't have time to make a trip to the mall and those tops were just perfect for it. I also found the cutest little buffalo plaid puffer vest for my little one. It was like it was meant to be so thank you Walmart for coming in clutch! 😉 This just goes to show that you don't have to go spend hundreds of dollars on outfits for family photos and items you may not even wear again!

Now on to my opinion and how I used! First off I want to say that I feel that I am an exfoliate expert, if there ever was such a thing, so I have had my fair share of exfoliate experience. I was excited to use this because of the smell! You can literally smell the Vitamin C! I made sure I had a clean face before starting, so zero makeup. I started with a small amount, which I advise because a little goes a long way, and started rubbing in a circular motion on my face. I did this for about 2-3 minutes. I then rinsed with warm water and I swear my face instantly felt softer and smoother than my little baby's bottom! Not joking! After pat drying, I took the second phase, dropped 2 drops in my palm and again, rubbed in a circular motion on my face. Make sure to leave on your face for about a minute before rinsing. Rinse your face again and pat dry! That's it! Easy peasy!

I seriously LOVE this product! This is by far the best exfoliate I have ever used. My skin didn't feel like it was getting ripped off while using like some exfoliantes and my face felt just as smooth the next morning. I would HIGHLY recommend if you are looking to brighten you skin. I am so pleased with this product. I can't wait to continue to use and see the changes in my dull skin.

Friday Favorites // Fall/Winter Accessories

Happy Friday the 13th! I didn't even realize we were having a Friday the 13th this month until I went to flip over our little calendar this morning. I have to admit it made me a little giddy because we are having one in October! I love everything about Halloween except haunted houses, I don't do those! Lol. So, did anyone else wake up one morning and all of sudden it was officially fall weather?! Holy cow! So happy to finally feel that cool breeze hit my face and bring out my fall/winter accessories, which brings me to today's "Friday Favorites!"

I am HUGE scarf and beanie fanatic and have more than I should, just like my sunglasses. There is just something about being drawn to that gorgeous scarf or cute little pom on a beanie. I think I need to do a little purge on what I have so I can buy new this season. Anyone else agree?! Hehe. So until then, I figured I would bring you my favorite fall accessory list that I am swooning over. Maybe you can purchase and let me gawk over it until I finally give in and buy!

This beanie I actually have and love! I purchased last spring when it was on sale and so glad I did because it's back by popular demand this season! It's super lightweight so perfect for those cool fall days. Oh, and it's LEOPARD! Hello, my favorite color! 😉

Loving the colors and price this beanie offers! I chose the grey color because it's a great neutral that will go with everything. The burgundy and mustard colors are so gorgeous and perfect for fall! You can't beat the price for a cute beanie like this one!

If you are not into the beanie trend but still want to wear a hat on those bad hair days, I would suggest this wool hat that will have all eyes on you! These hats are such a huge trend in the fall/winter seasons, so you will definitely be able to wear for years to come.
Now on to my favorite fall/winter accessory...SCARVES! I love a great scarf that can warm you up or just complete your look for the day. I have way too many to count but I am going to share just a few of my favorite for the season. This blanket scarf is such a great staple to have in your closet. I am loving the soft colors and how it can be worn as a scarf or shawl. Win, win!

Another blanket scarf that I am swooning over is this one that is perfect for fall and winter because of the beautiful colors. I have one very similar to this one that I bought last year and can't wait to bring out again for this season. Best thing about this scarf is the price! Can't believe how inexpensive it is!

If you are not into blanket scarfs, I highly suggest this one. I purchased during the Nsale because it was all the rage last year and is going to be again this year. It is my favorite color, leopard, so it can dress up any look. It is super lightweight so you can wear this all day and not get hot while wearing.

There ya have it! My two favorite fall/winter accessories to dress up any look! All this scarf and hat talk is giving the itch to purchase more. "No, Jen, you do not need anymore." Say it again, "no, Jen, you do not need anymore!" Lol. I hope you have a great Friday the 13th and weekend!
