Holiday Gift Guide // Friends

Happy {almost} Thanksgiving! I am SO excited for tomorrow that I can hardly stand it. My mom is visiting all week and we have already started baking some of the sweets...and maybe eating a little, too! 😉 What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? I have to say the health and happiness of my family. Last year was a completely different story and I am do thankful to see such a happier and healthier year. I am always thankful for friendship because without my best friends, I couldn't have gotten through some of the tough months we had last year.

Style Guide // Thanksgiving

Friday is fri-nally here! Did you get that?! HA! This means we are even closer to Thanksgiving, which I am SO excited for! Even though Christmas is my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving comes close because of the food! I LOVE all the food and wish I could eat it everyday and not be on "my 600 pound life." What's even more fun about Thanksgiving is finding the perfect Thanksgiving outfit. You know what I'm talking about! If you still haven't found it, look no further because I am bringing you some super cute ideas!

Before having three kiddos, I loved getting all dolled up for holidays. Now I am just all about that comfort! Don't get me wrong, momma likes to get dolled up every once in awhile but I can't chase my kiddos around in those 4 inch stilettos and mini dress! I am more of a casual, but still on point, with my holiday looks. You don't want to be wearing a skin tight blouse or dress after eating yourself in weight, do you?! I love this outfit that I have picked out for Thanksgiving. I found this graphic tee, #sograteful and knew I had to style it for Thanksgiving. BIG NEWS!!! / How to use Like to Know it

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend?! Mine was very relaxing. Hallmark channel was on the tv all weekend and I'm not ashamed one bit! Last Friday I received VERY EXCITING news! I was accepted into the Reward Style program! This was one of my goals when I started my blog and I am happy to say I have achieved it. I wanted to wait til I reached 2k followers on Instagram and once I did, I applied and was accepted. I am over the moon with joy about this because this is program is hard to get into.

If you are not familiar with Reward Style, I am here to help. It is a program for influencers like myself that will make it easier for our followers to shop our posts on Instagram or on our blog. For you it will be called Like to Know it or LKT, when you see me say, "shop my latest look here on the Like to Know it app. Now if you don't know how to use LTK, I am now going to explain how to use!

Happy Fri-YAY, babes! Can you believe that it's less than two weeks til Thanksgiving?! Holy moly! Where does the time go?! I am so excited because that just means we are that much closer to my favorite holiday, CHRISTMAS! I just love Christmas! I mean who doesn't...that celebrates the holiday?! Since it's that time of year that means it is getting colder out and sometimes it can be hard to show those cute outfits that you have under all that clothing and coat! Ugh!

I never really wore beanies until we moved to Iowa 5 years ago and let me tell you, you definitely need them living here! It's so cold! I love how beanies can be worn on a bad hair day and to just keep you warm. Erno Laszlo Glow// Update

Hi friends! I am back for Monday Makeover! Yay! So, first how was your weekend? Mine was SUPER busy but productive. I actually picked up a new hobby that I will be sharing very soon so be on the lookout for that. I know it is has been awhile since I did a Monday Makeover post and I apologize. I am going to be more productive on these posts, maybe not every week but at least twice a month. I may post more just depends on if I find a new product I am loving and I feel that I need to share.

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about Erno Laszlo's glow mask that I received in my "blogger mail" as I like to call it. In the post I gave you the deets on the products and how to use. I barely went into how I was liking it and well let me tell you I. LOVE. IT! It is the BEST exfoliant I have ever used and I have used a lot in my life. What I love most about this product is the longevity of it. 24 hours later and my face still feels smooth as a baby's bottom.

If you suffer from dry skin like me, especially during the winter months, this needs to be your go to exfoliant. Don't have dry skin? That's ok, this product can be used by any skin type! Yes, it may be a little pricey but I am telling you your skin will be glowing like J.Lo's! I use twice a week and it looks like I have barely used any. A little goes a long way with this product. Oh, and did I tell you it smells like oranges and is a good exfoliant for your lips! Yes! I use it on my lips as well.

If there is one beauty product you are wanting to splurge on let it be this. You have to start with healthy skin before moving on to makeup. The most expensive makeup can't make your face look fresh if you don't have healthy skin. You can find the skin routine here.

Style Guide // What to Wear for Family Photos

Hi friends! Long time no hearing from me, huh? I know I have been so MIA lately and I apologize. Like I said in my last blog post, I am really trying to find my niche in this blogging world and dang it's hard! Also, my mom visited this past weekend and I was focused on getting as much time with her as I could since she lives 8 hours away and I don't see her as much as I would like.

While my mom was visiting I thought it would be a great opportunity to visit the lake and snap a few family photos. It was very short notice so I didn't have much time to prepare for outfits, but I made it work. When it comes to family photos, I like to keep it very simple and not look so matchy-matchy if that makes sense. You want the picture to focus on the people in the photos and the moment, not what they are wearing. I went with blacks, grays, and reds for the colors because I knew my husband had a gray sweater he could wear and of course I had something to throw together because my closet is overflowing, literally.

Since I haven't had much time to shop for fall/winter clothes for the boys, I knew I had to get them tops to wear. Guess wear I found the cutest black and gray thermal tops for my two oldest? Walmart! I knew I didn't have time to make a trip to the mall and those tops were just perfect for it. I also found the cutest little buffalo plaid puffer vest for my little one. It was like it was meant to be so thank you Walmart for coming in clutch! 😉 This just goes to show that you don't have to go spend hundreds of dollars on outfits for family photos and items you may not even wear again!
