Everyday Makeup

Happy First Day of Spring! Ya'll, I could not be happier to see winter go! It sure was a rough one. We are finally getting pretty weather so I happy as a clam! Lol. Since we are in a new season, I know a lot of women, like myself, like to shop for not only spring clothing but makeup. I like to change my blush and lipstick when there is a new season and maybe a little more of a highlight in spring in summer. Who am I kidding, I love a blinding highlight every season! Ha!

Since there is a big beauty sale going on, I decided to a quick blog post with my favorite beauty products that is part of the sale. I know 15% off doesn't sound like a big discount but it is when a lot of these items very rarely go on sale! Oh, plus FREE SHIPPING, which is always a win in my book!

Ok, so here we go!
  1. I use this clarifying lotion/toner and I swear it is what keeps my skin clear. I also use the cleanser from this line every once in awhile but my cleanser isn't available with this retailer. :(
  2. I swear by a good primer before applying your makeup. It minimizes pores and smooths your skin so your makeup goes on smooth and also helps stay longer. I switch mine up between this one and the Charlotte Tilbury primer that isn't part of the sale. Wah!
  3. After applying my primer, I apply this foundation, which is the best of the best, with this Sigma brush. I wear the shade 2C1 Pure Beige.
  4. Not everyone does this, but I use this bronzer all of over my face very lightly just to give my face a glow. I also use this bronzer to contour my nose and face. This is a great bronzer for contouring because it is matte and that is important detail when contouring.
  5. My concealer is not available at this retailer but I will link it here because it truly is the best! I use this beauty blender to blend my concealer and remember to use a damp beauty blender.
  6. Once I have blended out my concealer, I use this setting powder to set the concealer. Again, this is the best of the best setting powder. A little goes a long way. I use the damp beauty blender to pat the powder onto my face.
  7. Next, I will contour my face and nose with this bronzer. You can also use the setting powder to "bake" your contour but I don't.
  8. Now it is time for blush. I use this blush in the color, Dolce Vita. It looks super dark online but I promise it's not. It is a beautiful natural color on the cheeks.
  9. My highlighter isn't available at this retailer but I will link it here because it is SO pretty! I use the color Champagne Pop.
  10. Now onto eyes! I have been using this palette and LOVE! It's soo good and gorgeous colors. I am very basic when it comes to my eye shadow so I usually just use neutral colors.
  11. After applying my eye shadow, I apply this mascara primer that isn't available at the retailer but it's super affordable and awesome. It makes a huge difference in your mascara application.
  12. Now that the mascara primer is on, I apply my favorite mascara that I swear by! It gives your lashes great length and volume.
  13. I don't wear eyeliner often, but when I do, I use this one because it stays in places and doesn't smudge.
  14. I am not the best at eyebrows so I use this because it's so easy and shapes and fills in my eyebrows within a few seconds. It's so easy! Just brush over your eyebrows!
  15. I use different lip products but I have been loving this one in the color Bellissima. This liquid lipstick really does stay all day!
  16. Now it's time to set my makeup with this holy grail setting spray. This spray helps keep your makeup in place and last longer. It truly does and makes my makeup look flawless.
That's it! I know that may seem like a lot but I am pretty basic when it comes to my makeup. I have linked everything above in the description as well as below. If there are any products you love and want to share, let me know! I love trying new beauty products.

I also wanted to share two of my favorite self tanners that are also part of the sale. This one is great for a natural tan. This one is awesome and makes you look like you just got back from a beach vacation.

Sephora Sale!

Happy Friday, friends! Boy am I on the struggle bus this week! It has been such a crazy, busy week, but I am just thankful to be able to be alive and say I have had a crazy week! I think spring has finally found it's way to Iowa because the past couple of days have been beautiful! Sunny and in the 50's...I'll take it! What have you been up to lately? I know I have been very MIA on the blog and it is becasue I have bad writers block. If there is a topic you would like to see me blog about, just comment below or email me. I love hearing from y'all!

I am sure you have heard by now that the Sephora sale is now open to everyone! YASSS! This is the perfect time to stock up on any beauty products that you cannot live without and never go on sale. I get a lot of questions about my makeup routine and while I do have my products linked here on the blog, I get new followers daily that may not be aware. So, I am going to share all of my beauty products as well as some items I am wanting to try!

Before I share, I need to tell you that you have to be a member of Sephora to get the discount. All you have to do in order to get the insider discount is sign up. Super easy and free! For those of you who are VIB or Rouge members, you will receive 15% off of your order! The items I am going to share are going to be more than your drugstore beauty products, but they are the best! Ok I am going to shut up now and share my beauty products as well as a few items I am wanting to try. If you follow me on Instagram, I will be going explaining each item on stories.

Skincare
I am a true believer in this acne system. I have turned so many of my friends to this and they love it! If you have acne prone skin or just want to make sure you don't get those annoying occasional breakouts, this system will be your best friend.

I just got this in the mail yesterday so I have to try but the review are amazing! I have noticed that my neck and décolleté are aging so I need all the help I can get! I will keep you updated on this product!

This is my "facial in a jar" and I have been using for years! I like to do this once a week. It's so good!

This is by far my favorite exfoliater. Yes, it is pricey, but your face will be glowing like J.Lo's after you use. It is AH-mazing!

Another favorite skincare product of mine is the clarisonic mia 1 skin cleansing system. I bought this 2 years ago and it is still like brand new.

Makeup

Now on to my favorite...makeup. I am not going to go over every item because you would get bored! Lol. So many items! I will talk more about these on my stories.

Miscellaneous

Now I am just going to share a few things I use from Sephora, like my favorite tanning products to hair care.

St. Tropez is by far my favorite self tanner. It is pricey, but so worth it. I don't use this often because I like to save for special occasions. Love it!

'

Living Proof is the best dry shampoo but I just can't pay the price. If you don't care to pay the price, I would definitely get!

Sephora doesn't sell my shampoo/conditioner :( bummer!

The T3 trio curling wands are like no other. I honestly do not think there is a better curling iron/wand out there! I swear by it!

I can't rave enough on how amazing this perfume smells.

Items I am wanting to try

I have heard nothing but amazing things about the mask.

I think every beauty blogger and their mother has talked about how good this face tanner is.

Since I don't wear a full face of makeup everyday, I tend to just use a BB cream on most days. I have heard this is the best CC cream for full coverage but still feels lightweight.

I have been wanting this bronzer brush for years! Just can't pull the plug!

Speaking of bronzer, this is supposed to be like the best!

I cannot spend that much on blush, but just look how pretty this blush color is!

I think I am going to purchase this today! It is

I know there are probably some items I am missing to include because there is just so many good products out there that I love! If you have questions about any of the products, PLEASE message me! As always, just click on the pictures to shop!

Good morning and Happy Monday, loves! For today's "Makeover Monday" I want to talk all about brightening your undereye, especially on this Monday! If you are like me, you suffer from dark circles and I have 3 little boys I like to thank for them 😉. Since I suffer from dark circles, I have done my fair share of searching high and low for the perfect concealer and brightner. I think I have FINALLY found what works for me and hopefully for you, too.

The first step I do after priming but before applying my foundation is covering my dark circles with Benefit's Erase Paste. Side note: If you search for Erase Paste, it will now be called Boi-ing. This product does exactly what it claims in it's name...erases! When I apply these on my hideous dark circles, it's like I am literally erasing them. Since this is a "paste" it is going to be heavy so I make sure to really blend with my damp beauty blender. It is important to do this because it can give off that "cakey" look and no one wants that!

After blending the Erase Paste and applying my foundation, I like to apply my absolute favvvvvorite beauty product that I cannot live without...Tarte's Shape Tape This product is the holy grail of beauty products. It is loved by so many beauty bloggers and once you use, you will know why! It has an applicator that is like a lip gloss wand, which is so helpful when applying. I like to make a triangle shape under my eye when applying. This technique will brighten up your face and will draw attention to those pretty eyes of yours. After making the triangle under each eye, I blend with my damp beauty blender just like I did with the Erase Paste.

Now that I have concealed and brightened my eyes, I like to set it with other favorite beauty product, Laura Mercier's Translucent Powder. This is a very important step because it will ensure that your undereye makeup stays all day and trust me, it will! Some people will "bake" their undereye, which is when you take your sponge, dip it into a generous amount of powder and pack it under your eye. It will look like you lost a fight with a bag of flour, HA!, but after a couple of minutes you can wipe off the access with a brush. I have never tried this only because I try and keep my makeup routine under 15 minutes. I usually just tap my Sigma Tapered Blending Brush into the translucent powder and apply to my undereye.

And when I feel that I still need a little brightening, I like to apply Becca's Champagne Pop, in the corner of my eyes for a little extra POP! Who doesn't love a little extra POP in their makeup routine! I hope you guys enjoyed today's "Makeover Monday" and you have a bright Monday! Get it! 😉
