Looking For Something?

Monday, September 11, 2017

Good morning and Happy Monday, loves! For today's "Makeover Monday" I want to talk all about brightening your undereye, especially on this Monday! If you are like me, you suffer from dark circles and I have 3 little boys I like to thank for them 😉. Since I suffer from dark circles, I have done my fair share of searching high and low for the perfect concealer and brightner. I think I have FINALLY found what works for me and hopefully for you, too.

The first step I do after priming but before applying my foundation is covering my dark circles with Benefit's Erase Paste. Side note: If you search for Erase Paste, it will now be called Boi-ing. This product does exactly what it claims in it's name...erases! When I apply these on my hideous dark circles, it's like I am literally erasing them. Since this is a "paste" it is going to be heavy so I make sure to really blend with my damp beauty blender. It is important to do this because it can give off that "cakey" look and no one wants that!

After blending the Erase Paste and applying my foundation, I like to apply my absolute favvvvvorite beauty product that I cannot live without...Tarte's Shape Tape This product is the holy grail of beauty products. It is loved by so many beauty bloggers and once you use, you will know why! It has an applicator that is like a lip gloss wand, which is so helpful when applying. I like to make a triangle shape under my eye when applying. This technique will brighten up your face and will draw attention to those pretty eyes of yours. After making the triangle under each eye, I blend with my damp beauty blender just like I did with the Erase Paste.

Now that I have concealed and brightened my eyes, I like to set it with other favorite beauty product, Laura Mercier's Translucent Powder. This is a very important step because it will ensure that your undereye makeup stays all day and trust me, it will! Some people will "bake" their undereye, which is when you take your sponge, dip it into a generous amount of powder and pack it under your eye. It will look like you lost a fight with a bag of flour, HA!, but after a couple of minutes you can wipe off the access with a brush. I have never tried this only because I try and keep my makeup routine under 15 minutes. I usually just tap my Sigma Tapered Blending Brush into the translucent powder and apply to my undereye.

And when I feel that I still need a little brightening, I like to apply Becca's Champagne Pop, in the corner of my eyes for a little extra POP! Who doesn't love a little extra POP in their makeup routine! I hope you guys enjoyed today's "Makeover Monday" and you have a bright Monday! Get it! 😉

Fall/Winter Handbags under $50

Happy 🐪 Day, babes! I feel that fall 🍁🍂🍃 has officially hit in Iowa. It has been so cool, almost cold, in the mornings and then a nice breeze in the afternoons. I am loooving it. When a new season comes, I always feel that I need a new handbag because let's be honest, those summery colored bags aren't going to look that great with your fall attire. Handbags really can be affordable if you look in the right places and get them while they are on major sale. I have to admit that I am "label w*ore" 🙊 when it comes to handbags. I love my designers but have noticed lately that some are not as great of quality as those for under $50. After my last disappointed designer handbag purchase, I made a promise to myself to start looking for handbags that are great quality for a great price.

Last week I decided to do a little online shopping and came across a beautiful black handbag from NY&CO. It looked like a designer but for under $40!...no joke! When I received it, I knew I had to tell you guys all about it because it is even better in person! It has a lot of room and does not slouch like some bags that I have. It is faux leather but seriously looks like real leather. What I really like about it is the removable shoulder strap. You can wear as a cross body, on your shoulder. or without. I decided on the black color because I feel that it can transition into winter easier than any other color. It comes in 4 other colors and the camel option is very tempting. The Faux Fur Pom-Pom Bag Charm is not part of the bag but is only $6 still making the bag under $50!

I did a little research looking for the best handbags under $50 for you! I have to admit that I want them all! 😉 Since I don't own, I can't go into detail but they look very promising considering the price.

This H&M Burgundy Handbag is GORGEOUS! I am loving the gold details and color. I feel that this can definitely be used all fall and winter. Price on this is $49.99!

If you haven't seen or heard about the ring handle bag by Chloe, you will soon! It is for sure a handbag dream, that I will never own, but I have found one similar that is under $27 versus the $1500 for the Chloe! This Ring Mini Crossbody is amazing and can be worn multiple ways. You can wear as a cross body, on your shoulder, or hold by the ring handle. Target hit it out the park with this one! Also available in black!

Last but not least, I bring you the BP. Stripe Faux Leather Tote. This is currently on major sale! It was $55 but is on sale now for $27! I would run to grab this one. I love how eye-catching it is! It is all my favorite things...stripes, black, white, and cognac! This bag was part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and was a big hit. You will definitely be on trend with this tote.

I hope you enjoyed today's "Wear it Wednesday!" I really enjoy doing something different than clothing items If there is anything in particular you would like to see for fall comment below or send me an e-mail!

Coco Shea // Bath and Body Works

Happy Friday and first day of September! 🌰🍂🍁

I can't believe that it is already September, although I ain't hatin' it! Fall is my absolute favorite, if you haven't noticed by now! When Bath and Body Works brings out there fall scented candles, I am usually waiting outside the doors like a dog begging to come in. Who doesn't love a candle that smells like pumpkin pecan waffles?! My favorite! Although, you may want to eat the candle. Ha!

A couple weeks ago I went to stock up on my favorite fall scented candles when they were having buy 2 get 2 free! This was an AH-mazing deal and so glad I was able to score four for the price of 2. While I was there the friendly sales lady gave me her sales pitch on their new body care line. Like always, I was suckered in because I instantly fell in love and had a 20% off entire purchase coupon. I am huge coupon queen! So I knew I had to share these products as my "Friday Favorites" with you guys!

So there are three scents--coconut, cucumber, and honey. Interested yet?! 😉 I love all of these scents so I was instantly intrigued. There are different products for each scent--sugar scrub, body buff, all-over mist, body butter, shower jelly (it really feels like jelly), etc. So many to choose from. Now what I love so much about these products is the intensity of the products. For example, the scrubs have a different textures. The Cucumber is going to be a light scrub that has smoothing Pumice and a cleansing gel formula. The Coconut is a body buff that has Coconut Shell and smoothing Sugar Crystals to exfoliate your skin. Last is the Honey which is a sugar scrub that has smoothing Sugar Crystals and nourishing oils that will really exfoliate your skin. I love that they have scrubs for every skin type.

Now, you are probably wondering what I purchased. Well, I bought two products of this particular line. The CocoShea Coconut Body Buff and the CocoShea Cucumber All-Over Body Mist. I needed a new body scrub to exfoliate before self-tanning, and this one caught my eye because of the smell as well as it wasn't too rough. I loved the cucumber all-over body mist instantly because of the smell (again, lol) and because it has multiple uses. I use it to spray in my hair, as well as my kiddos just to freshen up, I spray it in my home, but my favorite use is spraying it on my beauty blender before using. Yep, you read that right! Not only does it work great as a spray for my beauty blender it also makes my face smell great! Ha! So many different uses for this product.

If you are interested in any of the products I mentioned, Bath and Body Works is having a buy 3 get 3 free or buy 2 get 1 free as well as a 25% off entire purchase using the code AIRISCRISP. Now is the time to purchase! Candles are also only $12.50! I think I may just make a trip to my local Bath and Body Works! Eek!

XOXO,
